Are you a Canada person or a Mexico person? This question is for those who have a preference which way they go when they get to World Showcase in Epcot. I guess for me it depends what I want to do that day and what foods I want to try. On this day Amanda and I headed towards Canada and so glad that we did. She really wanted to try the Roasted Bone Marrow. (Not something I would try and can’t because of the spices). However, she was really looking forward to this and below is her review of the Roasted Bone Marrow at Gourmet Landscapes.
What is your favorite food in the World Showcase?
Roasted Bone Marrow – $10.50
Before I start with Amanda’s review, I do have to admit that this was a beautifully plated dish and smelled amazing. Here is her review and I hope that you get a chance to try this unusual dish.
(A cast member informed her that the chef’s suggested the best way to eat this was to use the toast to scrape out the marrow.) This was a fantastic suggestion and a great way to get to the marrow. The pickled mushroom was good and added balanced acidity. It wasn’t spicy, but had a spice that was well balanced. There was also a sweet and savory flavor that went well together. The buttery toast was crunchy and helped to elevate the overall dish. The “snow” on top didn’t add anything significant. This was a little pricey but didn’t keep her from trying it because this was such a rare dish. It is hard to share because there isn’t enough bread but felt it was a good value for the price. She was two steps away from gnawing on the bone. Very happy she tried this and can’t wait to explore other food options during the Epcot International Festival of the Arts.
I hope that you find something that is as delicious as this Bone Marrow.
“How can I describe it? Good food is like music you can taste, color you can smell. There is excellence all around you. You need only to be aware to stop and savor it” – Remy
