I have always believed that there isn’t a better treat in Magic Kingdom than the Mickey shaped pretzel and I always had to have one when I visited. Now that I’m here more I enjoy looking for other choices of good snacks. One day I saw someone with the giant pretzel and couldn’t figure out where they discovered that little treat. Well if you’re over by Ariel be sure and check out Prince Eric’s Village Market, just be warned that they aren’t always open. I finally was able to catch the market open and try the jumbo pretzel.

Jumbo Pretzel – $9.49

This pretzel had a completely different taste than the Mickey shaped pretzel. I think this is more of a bavarian pretzel that had a crispy crust on the outside but was still soft and chewy on the inside. I would agree that this “jumbo pretzel” is jumbo and definitely big enough to share. “Little Mouse” was with me and tried the cheese sauce, (I prefer mustard). She did notice that this cheese is not the usual cheese cup you receive with the Mickey shaped pretzels. This cheese had a definite onion/garlic taste and was served warm. She said that it tasted really good with this type of pretzel. I thought the pretzel itself was very similar to the ones you can get in Germany in Epcot. For the cost and size I would recommend trying this one the next time you’re looking for a pretzel in Magic Kingdom.

“Isn’t this great? The salty sea air, the wind blowing in your face. A perfect day to be at sea!” – Prince Eric – The LIttle Mermaid
